Star Watch: a Christmas quilt featuring Hearthside Holiday from Carried Away Quilting

Hello quilting friends! Last October I shared sneak peek photos of another winter quilt I was working on, a Christmas version of my Star Watch pattern featuring fabrics by Deb Strain (Moda). This festive quilt is now complete, and yesterday I took several photos to share with you.


My daughter was home this weekend and commented that she hoped this quilt was for her, as she really loved the striking black and red, the buffalo checks and plaids, and the deer head motif. Star Watch: a Christmas version from Carried Away Quilting

Hello quilting friends! I hope you all are well and finding time to sew to your heart’s content. Yesterday I spent some happy hours in my sewing room and I want to share my progress with you. I’m sewing a Christmas version of my Start Watch jelly roll pattern.

Holiday themed rag quilt with Sweet Treasures Quilts from Carried Away Quilting


I’ve lost count of how many quilts I’ve made over the years, which is probably a good thing. (I might be embarrassed to know the total number.) But in all my years of sewing and quilting, I had never made a rag quilt . . . until recently that is!
